to be met. In recent years there has been an increase in
the aesthetic demand from patients when performing oral
rehabilitation. Simply healthy results, they seem to be no
longer enough. The demands of today’s society require the
return, along with health, of great aesthetic results. This
forces us to have a greater capacity for the planning and
development of interdisciplinary management and thus
achieve the required level of satisfaction. The assessment
must be individualized, uniting the patient’s expectations
to the clinical conditions observed (Kina, 2008). Introducción: La odontología ha dejado de enfocarse únicamente en la salud, para dar un giro hacia la estética dental. Los pacientes exigen resultados cada vez más agradables a la vista, buscando que sea imperceptible el tratamiento que se ha llevado a cabo. Nuevas tecnologías y tratamientos más conservadores se imponen, y permiten satisfacer dichas exigencias. En los últimos años se ha producido un aumento en la demanda estética por parte de los pacientes a la hora de realizar rehabilitaciones orales. Resultados simplemente saludables, parecieran ya no ser suficientes. Las exigencias de la sociedad actual requieren devolver, junto a la salud, resultados de gran alcance estético. Esto nos obliga a tener una mayor capacidad para la planificación y desarrollo del manejo interdisciplinario y lograr así el nivel de satisfacción exigido. La valoración debe ser individualizada, uniendo las expectativas del paciente a las condiciones clínicas observadas (Kina, 2008). |
