Sumario:Both the livestock and the extraction of firewood are productive activities widely developed in the Monte woodlands. Knowing their effects is fundamental when it comes to delineating policies regarding the management of the goods they provide, taking into account that said goods are essential for the social reproduction of local populations. In this work proposes by means of the population structure of P. flexuosa in the Reserve and in neighboring fields: to characterize the availability and production of dead wood, to determine gradients of livestock use and firewood in the sites with use and to determine effects on the growth of P. flexuosa individuals and the provision of habitats for wild, (little mammals). Structural data of the reserve's forests and surrounding fields will be processed, and monitoring of permanent plots will continue. In plots of 20 x 50 m, all extracted forest products will be surveyed, and the percentage of dung cover will be determined in 30 squares of 1m2 per plot; Transects will also be made using the modified Point quadrat method to relieve vegetation. Wood samples of P. flexuosa will be treated with traditional dendrochronological techniques (measurement of rings and cofechado). Mixed generalized linear models will be developed to determine the effects of use on fauna.
