| Sumario: | Literary theorists have suggested a series of specific concepts to study the literary. In connection to this, the notion of literary space appears as a search of the essence of literature and of a foundation for the intimacy of the I. Considering this category and its association with the concept of mentality, understood as a way of thinking which extends over history where life codes are shaped, this work analyzes two essays on the problem of femininity and its position in the intellectual field of its day. The study of Delfina Bunge's essay Women and their vocation and Victoria Ocampo's Woman and her expression aims at pointing out the search for a feminine literary space of one's own, centering interest especially in the problem of the emancipation of women. Both texts articulate around common thematic lines which make it possible to mark coincidences between these two authors' thoughts about maternity, education, and equality with men. |
