| Sumario: | In relation to the intensive and vast work of Arturo Ardao, it is argued that it constitutes a philosophy in the Hegelian sense of being the epoch put into thought. However, by arising in the American and not in the European continent by being positioned in intelligence before reason but not against it by sustaining the perspective of an opening to whatever is possible as criticar discernment of the closeness of what is necessary. Ardao's philosophy (nurtured from the history of philosophy. especially in the American continent and its history of philosophy or history of philosophical ideas in the American continent exercised as philosophical reflection) configures itself as the epoch put into thought with a degree of novelty that besides putting it beyond the boundaries of Hegelian orthodoxy it involves a fruitful contribution to critical discernment of such orthodoxy. It is an invaluable contribution to a universalist perspective of human emancipation arising in our American continent. |
