| Sumario: | As a result of the research projects carried out in the subject
Sociology of Health from the Faculty of Dentistry from the Cuyo
National University, we find, among others, a situation that caught
the attention of those who see health from a sociological perspective.
The interest lies in the organization in communities and the
landownership on the part of a local aboriginal community from the
Cuyo area: the Huarpes. The reference area is located to the
northeast of the Province of Mendoza. Because of the vast
extensiveness of the subject matter in question, our aim is just to have
a first approach to it in order to reveal something that is hidden. We
focus the discussion according to the concept of “multiculturalism,” in
order to try to comprehend these people, who in few years managed to
get organized with the objective of recovering the land and their
cultural ancestry. |
