Sumario: | Criminal justice is a teen court administration system that extends the rights and
guarantees of due process to teens who are accused of having participated in the
commission of a violation of criminal law. You could say that the aims of juvenile justice, in order of importance are: administering justice in a democratic manner. By empowering the adolescent who has committed a criminal offense, promoting social inclusion and promoting community participation in the process of social reintegration through the provision of services and programs to fulfill socio-educational measures.
The question "Correctional institutions are intervening in the reintegration of youth in
conflict with the law so that never again confront the legal system in force when graduates?
The answer is very complex because although since the situation of the institutions the isolation experienced by the young does not give defenses to change their life
circumstances at the time of reentry to society and this leads to a high probability of
re-offending .
However, the Social Sciences raises other alternatives for achieving the integration of
young people, one is inclined to the stimulation of resilience. This means: to overcome the difficulties and succeed in spite of being exposed to high-risk situations, maintaining competitive pressure, this means successfully adapt and recover from a trauma of successfully adjusting to negative life events. |
