Sumario: | Johann Theodor and Ernesto Alemann belonged to a Swiss family who had
an influential role in the formation of the Argentinian image projected into
the German-speaking community. Founders and editors from the
Argentinisches Tageblatt (Argentine Journal) and promoters of German
immigration to the country, through their discourses they construct an
image of Argentina, designed for a reader outside the country. This article
analyzes the image, especially in the texts of the authors published near the
date of the first centenary of the May Revolution. |
