Sumario:Johann Theodor and Ernesto Alemann belonged to a Swiss family who had an influential role in the formation of the Argentinian image projected into the German-speaking community. Founders and editors from the Argentinisches Tageblatt (Argentine Journal) and promoters of German immigration to the country, through their discourses they construct an image of Argentina, designed for a reader outside the country. This article analyzes the image, especially in the texts of the authors published near the date of the first centenary of the May Revolution.
