Sumario:Aphra Behn (1640-1689), first profesional writer in England composed pioneer writings within fiction, especially with Oroonoko or the Royal Slave (1688). Supposedly based partly on real facts of her own experience in Surinam and criticizing the system of slavery, Oroonoko is considered fundamental in the birth of a literary novelty that will play an important role in the development of a new literary gender, the novel. In it the author presents themes related to current globalization.
