Pascacio Guillén, Bertha Retablo Estípite Regional Yucatán Altarpiece Stipe Regional Yucatan Between 1755 and 1759, three altarpieces were built for the church of Tecoh, a town located in northwestern Yucatan. These were characterized by stipes pilasters used with regional solutions, they copied a model used in the main altarpiece of the Mérida cathedral, who at that time was under construction supervised by Bishop Ignacio Padilla. and Estrada, himself as years before had sponsored with the clergy who could complete the temples and their decoration. Over time, these altarpieces served as inspiration for others and became the last sign of Yucatecan regional baroque. By these reasons, the objective of this article is analyze them to try to understanding the aesthetic preferences, artistic solutions, changes and local adaptations that arose from the cathedral model. They served as the axis and/or inspiration for the elaboration of this type of pieces. At the same time knowing, who was the donor and the main purpose behind their realization; all studied from the formal and stylistic analysis complemented with archive’s documents and information of the intervention carried out at the end of the 20th century. Entre 1755 y 1759 se construyeron tres retablos para la iglesia de Tecoh, una población ubicada al norponiente de Yucatán. Estos se caracterizaron por ser piezas en las que se emplearon pilastras estípites con soluciones regionales, las cuales estuvieron inspiradas en un modelo utilizado en el retablo mayor de la catedral de Mérida, que para esas fechas se encontraba en construcción bajo la supervisión del obispo Ignacio Padilla y Estrada, quien pocos años antes había patrocinado dentro de la clerecía la búsqueda por concluir los templos y su ornato. Con el paso del tiempo, estos retablos sirvieron de inspiración y se convirtieron en el último signo del barroco regional yucateco; por ello, el objetivo del presente artículo es analizarlos con la intención de comprender las preferencias estéticas, soluciones artísticas, cambios y adaptaciones locales que surgieron a partir del modelo catedralicio que sirvió como eje y/o inspiración para la elaboración de este tipo de piezas, a la par de conocer quién fue su donante y el propósito tras su realización; todo, a partir de su análisis formal y estilístico, que se complementará con datos de archivo y la información de la intervención que se les realizó a finales del siglo XX.
