description	The following is an interview with Sofía D'Andrea, feminist pioneer in Mendoza, Argentina. She was a member, from 1986 to 1991, of the Grupo Ecuménico de Mujeres (Ecumenical Women's Group - GEM). As such, she was part of the organizing committee of the Tercer Encuentro Nacional de Mujeres (Third National Meeting of Women), which took place in the City of Mendoza, Argentina, in 1988. The aim of this interview is to track the tensions and the crossings between the feminist movement and the ecumenical movement. In that, some concerns arose about the Third National Meeting of Women. Could we place in those meetings an origin for the feminist movement in Mendoza? What has been the socio-historical-political knot that takes certain women, mothers, trade unionists, exiles, feminists and militants in the Encuentros? Who were the pioneers that we now name as historical? How were they organized? What were the alliances, tensions and distances that they went through? On the other hand, why do women had such a scarce presence in the Latin American Thought that the Alternativa Latinoamericana magazine wanted to express?
