Sumario:This paper analyses the process of feminist knowledge production in Central America, starting in the 1980’s. The analysis is conducted from the perspective of the Sociology of Knowledge; situating the production of saberes in the context from which they emerged. Moreover, the production of feminist knowledge is understood as a terrain always in dispute, resulting from the complex and contradictory relationship among feminists situated in the different spaces and places of enunciation, both as academics and as militants. The paper concludes that despite the difficulties and contradictions, Feminist Studies in the Central American region have been and continue to be a fundamental strategy to encourage the production of knowledge from the perspective of the different women in order to transform the traditional ways in which knowledge is produced and to question the falsified, partial and perverse narratives and representations about social life, generated by a traditional, androcentric and colonial science.
