Sumario:The purpose of this work is to analyze the relationship between contemporary artistic practices and citizen training processes, considering as a context the International Art Encounter of Medellín, Colombia, which has developed three alternatives oriented to do contemporary artistic practices in community. These alternatives are based on a framework of pedagogical reflection that considers the aesthetic experience and the city as educational tools (Bonafé, J. 2010, 3). Taking into account the role of the different artistic and cultural actors, museums, academic institutions, alternative spaces, cultural centers, and the artists themselves in the configuration of aesthetic experiences that convey pedagogical practices, training objectives with specific populations and didactic processes to configure cultural, active, participatory, and transnational subjects in the dynamics of the city of Medellín
