Sumario: | This paper proposes a dialogue between Foucault's philosophy and Lacan's psychoanalysis, using the framework offered by the course The Hermeneutics of the Subject. It explores possible points of contact between the two discourses around themes such as philosophical asceticism, the treatment of the passions, the function of the other and desire. The paper starts from the conviction that this dialogue can be mutually enriching: on the side of philosophy, it allows us to think of an effective way of doing aesthetic work on one's own existence; on the side of psychoanalysis, it allows us to show its spiritual dimension rather than its medical and normalising one. Likewise, from the conjunction of both discourses, some ideas can be extracted to think a subjective asceticism capable of elaborating a reasoned dissent before the various prevailing strategies of domination. |
