The essay attempts to articulate that interest with the Rosiana derived from a tout court cosmopolitanism to a cosmopolitanism located, that the question of identity, far from erased, is strengthened with contemporary theories of space-time, while the text does not it is presented more as the representation of a given reality but as its file. Beyond understanding of history as a unique development, writing studied from the perspective adopted by work, postulates a temporality without preferred directionality, always dependent on frameworks, which prevents think that writing on the terms of a universal measure of value for cultural phenomena. Este trabajo aborda el cuento firmado por Guimarães Rosa (Primeiras estórias, 1962) en relación con el interés que ese autor manifestó, en momentos decisivos de su producción, por las teorías de la cuarta dimensión. El ensayo intenta articular ese interés con la deriva rosiana de un cosmopolitismo tout court hacia un cosmopolitismo situado, en que la cuestión de la identidad, lejos de borrarse, se robustece con las teorías contemporáneas del espacio-tiempo, a la vez que el texto no se presenta más como la representación de una dada realidad sino como su archivo. Más allá de la comprensión de la historia como un desarrollo unívoco, la escritura estudiada, desde la perspectiva adoptada por el trabajo, postula una temporalidad sin direccionalidad preferente, dependiente siempre de marcos de referencia, lo que impide pensar esa escritura en los términos de una medida de valor universal para los fenómenos culturales.
