Sumario: | This text aims at the comparative study of the critical and literary productions of Jorges Luis Borges and Carlos Drummond de Andrade elaborated in the 1920s and 1930s, during which time the two writers anonymous crossed the streets of their respective cities as aspirants to a literary career. I try to examine two poems concerning the city, a sign valued by the two writers, from which it seems possible to approach the ambivalent movements that both establish between the search and recognition of the impossibility of a stable identity, attachment and displacements that provoke on the respective literary traditions. |
