Noticing the ways in which both concepts are interwoven, differentiated or subverted by each other when coming into contact allows us, rather than distinguishing specificities, to re-connect transdisciplinary links and understand that the presence of the theatrical in the performance or the presence of the performative in the theatrical is presented in a differential gradation in each case, according to the conditions, purposes and contexts in which both terms are used. These considerations, in turn, open space for the formulation of new questions. Las relaciones entre teatro y performance en la Ciudad de Mendoza se inscriben en un campo expandido y complejo que atañe tanto a las artes escénicas como a las artes visuales. Advertir los modos en que ambos conceptos se imbrican, se diferencian o se subvierten mutuamente al entrar en contacto nos permite, más que distinguir especificidades, re-conectar vínculos transdisciplinares y comprender que la presencia de lo teatral en la performance o la presencia de lo performático en lo teatral se presenta en una gradación diferencial en cada caso, según las condiciones, los fines y los contextos de uso de ambos términos. Estas consideraciones, a su vez, abren espacio a la formulación de nuevas preguntas.
