Sumario:Most of the work of Osvaldo Lamborghini (Buenos Aires, 1940 – Barcelona, 1984) was published posthumously. César Aira, friend, executor, transcriber and compiler, did the work. In 2008, the biography of Lamborghini was published, a monumental work by Ricardo Strafacce. This article analyzes the relationships between Aira’s reading of Lamborghini and the establishment of the final text. The hypothesis holds that the set of texts that Aira wrote about this work, two essays and six paratexts, operate as an implicit foundation for the decisions made as a transcriber and compiler. This hypothesis is also supported by Lamborghini’s biography, whose fixation of the writer’s life story works as a complement to the stabilization of the complete work.
