Sumario:Childhood has been historically marginalized from the political and economic sphere with the justification of being a stage of life in development, not yet prepared to make decisions and face responsibilities. However, many children, families and organizations dispute this image of childhood from their daily practices. Based on the ethnographic study of el Gritazo, a demonstration carried out by children’s organizations in Buenos Aires in 2017, we will analyze the notions of labor and participation that put children and adults into play, both at the moment of presenting themselves in the public space and in the privacy of the previous activities.
