Sumario: | In this article we propose to reflect on the ontological and epistemological assumptions that support the concepts of body in archeology. The intention of this work is to observe how these conceptions could materialize in the historical-archaeological record (architecture, human remains and material objects), in order to broaden the theoretical-methodological view of the Industrial Archaeological Anthropology of mining contexts in Argentina. In this sense, we intend to synthesize the corpus of theoretical information related to the conception of the body (material and human) to understand the processes of spatial and symbolic inequality in the lifestyles of workers in mining contexts of the 19th century. We consider it necessary to clarify that what is presented below are mere hypothetical (and ideal) interpretations of the potential archaeological record of mining sites in southern republican contexts. |
