Sumario: | With a relational approach and on the basis of on 21 semi-structured interviews with university students in Lima (Peru), this article describes a little-explored dimension of street sexual harassment (SSH): its use as a derivative way of determining the morality of women in the public space. In doing so we articulate the enigma of SSH (its inconsistency for practical sexual purposes) with its staging for other men (homo-social practice), for themselves as men, and with the more general level of male dominance over femininities. |
