Analyzing the National Common Curriculum Base and the Secondary Education Reform, this article aims to discuss the dichotomy of the relationship between education and capital, advocated by the conservative and neoliberal turn, based on the Post-Coup (2016) and strengthened in the 2018 suffrage. Our object is Brazilian Basic Education, mainly in the Secondary Education Stage, which is pressured by two paths: propaedeutic education and lightened education, characterized by flexible accumulation, which directly serves the labor market and not the omnilateral training, desirable for the working class and youth. We also point out polytechnic education as a category for overcoming and resisting this exceptional scenario. The methodology comprises document analysis and structuring fundamentals of educational documents and bibliographic analysis. The article is the result of the High School Reform Research Project with Law 13.415/2017: paths of the state and federal high school networks. The theoretical framework is based on Kuenzer (2007;2017), Saviani (2003), Frigotto (2016), Bourdieu (2007) Gramsci, among others. Finally, we emphasize the category of overcoming through polytechnic education, integral that trains the youth of the Public School for emancipation, by the educational principle of work and democracy in the face of alienation and precariousness. Analisando a Base Nacional Comum Curricular e a Reforma do Ensino Médio, o presente artigo tem como objetivo discutir a dicotomia das relações entre educação e capital, preconizadas por virada conservadora e neoliberal, alicerçada no Pós- Golpe (2016) e fortalecida no sufrágio de 2018. Nosso objeto é a Educação Básica brasileira , principalmente na Etapa do Ensino Médio, que se vê pressionada por dois caminhos: educação propedêutica e educação aligeirada, caracterizada pela acumulação flexível, a qual atende diretamente ao mercado de trabalho e não à formação omnilateral, desejável para a classe e juventude trabalhadoras. Assinalamos, ainda, a educação politécnica como categoria de superação e resistência a este cenário de exceção. A metodologia compreende análise documental e fundamentos estruturantes dos documentos educacionais e análise bibliográfica. O artigo é fruto do Projeto de Pesquisa Reforma do Ensino Médio com a Lei 13.415/2017: percursos das redes estaduais e da rede federal de Ensino Médio. O referencial teórico fundamenta-se em Kuenzer (2007;2017), Saviani (2003), Frigotto (2016), Bourdieu (2007) Gramsci, entre outros. Por fim, salientamos a categoria da superação por meio de educação politécnica, integral que forme o jovem da Escola Pública para emancipação, pelo princípio educativo do trabalho e da democracia frente à alienação e à precarização.
