Sumario:This brief article seeks to explore the 80s in Argentina, based on the category: "transition to democracy", and how this concept can be related with another category such as "political languages". In order to do so, I will first present what we are talking about in the social sciences and humanities when we talk about the transition to democracy, and what we mean by political languages. And finally I am intetesed in discussing  what specifc characteristics of those transitional years, with their unfinished debates, insistences and persistences, are still valid today in the folds of democratic language.
