Sumario: | The following work attempts, to the extent of its possibilities and extension, to shed a little light on the issue that is commonly known as relativism, and its alleged gnoseological trap. On account of this, we will start with a reflection on the media phenomenon designated as "post-truth", as a trigger for the revision of the old dichotomy between Plato and the Sophistic about the nature of truth and its implication in politics. Finally, we will consider the contribution of the Viennese epistemologist Paul Feyerabend with regard to the discussion on cultural relativism in order to position ourselves in a clearer and more justified perspective in the face of the challenges of contemporary Latin American politics, reviewing some concepts proposed by Laclau in his text "Debates and Fights". |
