Sumario:Transferring the opposition between comparison and image to the world of politics, we will affirm that the simile appears as the essential figure of a mythical community concept, while the metaphor, instead, is presented as the way of being-in-common of every impolitical community. Then, we will take these thoughts to the Latin American sphere, to analyze the possibility of a "metaphoric community" as our most characteristic way.
