Sumario:This paper seeks to explore the concepts of image, abstraction and model in Vilém Flusser’s thinking, especially from the work "Praise of Superficiality: the Universe of Technical Images" The concrete-abstract vector inversion proposed by Flusser produces a new model theory, that is, a new ontology and a new cosmology As the escalation of the abstraction promotes the emergence of zero-dimensional techno-images, the very concept of the universe is altered in its essence and consistency. The coming of techno-images makes explicit the Nothing that establishes existence. Therefore, techno-images societies are telematized and driven by games, programs, programmers and players, and not by emancipatory narratives. This is the fundamental alteration of the contemporary world in relation to the guiding thread of historicity that has guided the western world into the future, from the soteriologies of the Abrahamic religions and the secular utopias.
