Sumario: | The territory is an agent of social transformation, each locality or space to be diagnosed is the result of a history in which its institutional, economic and social organization has been shaped.
It is important to emphasize that in terms of territorial planning and management, situational diagnoses reveal the strengths and weaknesses of a given area or territory, as well as the demands and needs of the population, thus acquiring an evaluative and Also preventive, useful in the administration and management of the territory.
In this context, a diagnosis was made on the dynamics and quality of groundwater and surface water that has the locality of Malena and its rural area, being able thus to establish the level of vulnerability of its inhabitants. The analysis of the results allowed to link the problems of dental fluorosis in children and adults to the quality of groundwater with which they are supplied, and those of accessibility to the concentrated rural space, with the flooding of streams and erosion of the main roads. The results evidenced the need to give answers through public policies, in order to solve the problems detected in the area of "‹"‹study.
In recent years the university has developed an increasingly active role through applied research in order to meet the demands and needs of the social environment. Thus the present work aims to show the importance of the scientific contribution, through the interpretation of the current situation of the territory, as a contribution in the efficient formulation of local development policies. |
