Descripción
Sumario:This article analyzes the social, environmental and health vulnerability of the population residing in some neighborhoods in the northeast of Las Heras, Mendoza. The choice of neighborhoods and urban settlements was made based on the presence of certain characteristics, among which, the most important is that in these reside people who work as urban recyclers. An analysis focused on several variables is carried out based on the theoretical model of health determinants of Dalgren and Whitehead, linking the concepts of environmental injustice and resilience. Finally, the situation is analyzed in the framework of the Provincial Land Management Plan. The methodology used complements statistical data with information obtained from conducting interviews and field observations. As a result, it was possible to know the vulnerability of the inhabitants of the study area in relation to the specified dimensions, as well as the lack of real contemplation from public policies linked to land planning, a situation that decreases their resilience and is transformed into a situation of environmental injustice.
