This article shows how, from their perspective, both elaborate in their texts a positive vision of the nation for the German reader. Ada Elflein y Rudolf von Colditz escriben en alemán sobre la Argentina en el primer cuarto del siglo XX. Con intenciones explícitas diferentes, cada uno construye su discurso sobre una nación que existía más en el papel que en la realidad, ya que todavía entonces se estaban confeccionando los mapas sobre el territorio argentino en los que von Colditz tuvo un papel activo. El artículo muestra cómo, desde su perspectiva, ambos elaboran en sus textos una visión positiva de la nación para el lector germano.
