Sumario:The article introduces first the notions of substance, system and structure in Heinrich Rombach’s phenomenology and the understandings of the world that are based on them. It then shows why the categories -through which Rombach analyzes the autogenesis of a structure- also describe the essence of the world conceived, from a cosmological perspective, as a vital event. Subsequently, it makes explicit this cosmological notion of world based on the ideas of origin and movement of self-configuration, deconstitution and structural reconstitution. It concludes by pointing out the ethical challenges that the cosmological understanding of the world poses in the ecological, existential and sociocultural order.
