Descripción
Sumario:The writing of the lives of philosophers implies, especially in the case of José Ortega y Gasset (1883-1955), the definition of the event and the biographicable subject/object fromhermeneutical and phenomenological points of view. The work of a philosopher is both a life event or acontecimiento vital and a product or ergon, so that the compilation and exposition of the opinions written by himself serve both to expose the keys to his thought and to interpret the authors position in the world or literary field on the basis ot his circumstance or environment in which both life and work have developed. The analysis of the concept of vioeuvre (Dosse 2007)and its application to Ortega's biography based on examples and quotes occupies the central partof this research, followed by the positioning of the works in the philosopher's life trajectory andin its historical and social context.
