most often in the upper incisors and in patients between
7 and 9 years old, when the permanent incisors are in the
process of eruption, so the root length is reduced and the
elasticity of the bone is higher, favoring this eviction of the
tooth. Reimplantation is the technique by which the tooth
that has exarticulated reinserted inside its socket. A case of
girl of six years and six months old, who suffers a drop in
bicycle with consequent avulsion of the left central incisor
and extrusive luxation of the right maxillary central incisor,
both with incomplete root formation . La avulsión es una de las lesiones más graves al ligamento periodontal (LPD), consiste en la total exarticulación del diente de su alveólo, produciéndose la ruptura del paquete vasculonervioso y de las fibras periodontales. (1) Clínicamente el alveolo está vacío o lleno de un coágulo.(1) Ocurre con mayor frecuencia en los incisivos superiores, entre los 7 y 9 años de edad, cuando los incisivos permanentes están en erupción, por lo que la longitud radicular es reducida y la elasticidad del hueso es mayor, favoreciendo esto el desalojo de la pieza dentaria. El tratamiento indicado es el reimplante del diente avulsionado. Se presenta una niña de seis años y seis meses de edad, quien sufre una caída de la bicicleta con la consecuente avulsión del incisivo central superior izquierdo y luxación extrusiva del incisivo central superior derecho, ambos con formación radicular incompleta. |
