These workshops are mainly related to demands of the expansion and modernization of artificial irrigation system on Mendoza northern oasis, where the wine model rooted more strongly in the considered period. We examined existing sources in the Archivo General de la Provincia de Mendoza (folders of public works during the independent period, notarial records) and records related to irrigation water, existing on archives of Departamento General de Irrigación. El artículo se refiere a los talleres metalúrgicos fundados por inmigrantes europeos en Mendoza que fueron proveedores de bienes y servicios al Estado provincial entre 1895 y 1914. Los trabajos de los talleres corresponden principalmente a demandas relacionadas con la expansión y la modernización del sistema de riego artificial en el oasis norte Mendoza, donde el modelo vitivinícola arraigó con más fuerza en el período considerado. Se ha examinado fuentes existentes en el Archivo General de la Provincia de Mendoza (carpetas de Obras Públicas del período independiente, protocolos notariales) y expedientes vinculados con el agua para riegos existentes en el Archivo del Departamento General de Irrigación.
