Sumario:This work arises from the Master's thesis in Higher Education called "The field of Educational Technology in the curriculum of the Education Sciences career of the Facultad de Filosofia y Letras, Universidad Nacional de Cuyo". There the meanings embodied in the study plans are analyzed, and in the practices those of the teachers who were part of the field. Here, we specifically work on the findings in the curriculum, from a hermeneutical-interpretative perspective, conducting a longitudinal study, from the creation of the career, in 1986, until 2009. In this article we place special emphasis on how the influence of the macro and micro contexts of each historical period is reflected in the curriculum and in the field of Educational Technology, marking breaks and continuities in the meaning attributed to said field within the career of Education Sciences. Also, and as a consequence of this, the positive aspects, as well as the empty spaces for the training of the teacher and the graduate.
