By study, an attentive and careful relationship with the world is meant, a sort of preparation or exercise, and lastly, a place of creative work endowed with a specific atmosphere. What we try to evidence in this context is the integration of the diverse approaches to study in two films of the Portuguese filmmaker Pedro Costa. In them, we find certain links between study and poetic practices; as well as study, disciplines and techniques of oneself; and to conclude, links between study, certain artisan, tangible approach to work and, from a general perspective, a relationship with the world. Este texto es una tentativa de precisar y desarrollar la idea de estudio como categoría filosófica y pedagógica fundamental. Estudio significa una relación atenta y cuidadosa con el mundo, un tipo de preparación o ejercitación y, finalmente, un lugar de trabajo creativo dotado de cierta atmósfera. En ese contexto, lo que aquí nos proponemos es mostrar la integración de esos diversos sentidos del estudio en dos películas del cineasta portugués Pedro Costa. Encontramos allí una cierta relación entre el estudio y las prácticas poéticas; también entre el estudio, las disciplinas y las técnicas de sí; y, por último, entre el estudio y una concepción artesana, material, del trabajo y, en general, de la relación con el mundo. Este texto é uma tentativa de especificar e desenvolver a ideia de estudo como uma categoria filosófica e pedagógica fundamental. Estudo significa uma relação atenta e cuidadosa com o mundo, uma espécie de preparação ou exercitação e, por fim, um lugar de trabalho criativo dotado de certa atmosfera. Neste contexto, o que aqui propomos é mostrar a integração destes diversos sentidos do estudo em dois filmes do cineasta português Pedro Costa. Encontramos aí uma certa relação entre o estudo e as práticas poéticas; também entre o estudo, as disciplinas e as técnicas de si; e, por último, entre o estudo e uma concepção artesanal, material, do trabalho e, em geral, da relação com o mundo.
