Sumario:The social and economic environment demands the adoption of management practices oriented towards gender equality because of women’s own right to decide on their roles and other related effects. As a result of a documentary research, this article presents background, definitions, legislation, related practices and national results, which indicate that by 2019, 102 companies have been certified in the Mexican Standard on Labor Equality and Non-Discrimination, a minimum number considering the 696,333 companies registered in the SIEM (2017) or the 4 million of MSMEs (2015). Likewise, reflections and recommendations are presented with the purpose of fostering the advancement on this topic.
