Sumario:The present work tries to make a journey through the history of the Permanent Education of Young People and Adults in Mendoza, Argentina. In this journey, still, from classroom work´s perspective -as a teacher of the modality- we will try to identify to the traces that popular education and particularly Pegagogía del Oprimido, of Paulo Freire, they were leaving in this modality. The contributions of Lidia Rodríguez and Natalia Baraldo will be taken into account for the analysis. In this way, the presence of ideas of emancipation and liberation will be observed throughout the history of the modality. Then, through participant- observation in aulic situations, the fear of freedom in oppressed people will be analyzed, (re)taking input from Erich Fromm. Finally, reference is made to the emancipation and liberation proposal in the curriculum design.
