Sumario:In the mid- ‘60s different spaces emerged in Mendoza province producing changes in the local cultural scenario. Some of them, similar to the national perspective, acquired an unofficial logic in contrast to those institutions which were recognized and legitimized by the critic. Such was the case of Taller Nuestro Teatro (TNT) in which by the end of 1970, it brought together a wide variety of cultural activities. TNT was an alternative cultural space of expression and artistic circulation in which counter-speeches were developed and they were presented by actors who did not acknowledge and accept the dominant speech. Based on the different cultural productions and the new ways of artistic circulation, they tried to argue against and to subvert the dominant logics and the political power repressive measures. The purpose of the following article is to reconstruct the objectives and projections made by its directors, Carlos Owens and Maximino Moyano, at the time of the inauguration of the space based on the analysis of the Mendoza press, the Claves cultural magazine and the testimonies of some of its protagonists.
