They were subject of study by José Ingenieros and Alejandro Korn in their respective works about intellectuals in Argentina, at the time of constituting a disciplinary field of philosophy and intellectual history. Both authors had differences in their interpretations on the history of argentine intellectuals, which are evident in the explanations applied to these three lawyers, which must be contextualized. Gregorio Tagle (1772-1845), Pedro José Agrelo (1776-1846) y Manuel Moreno (1781-1857) fueron letrados de relevancia política, administrativa e intelectual en el territorio rioplatense de principios del siglo XIX. Ellos fueron analizados tanto por Ingenieros como por Korn en sus respectivas obras sobre la historia de las ideas argentinas, al momento de constituir un campo disciplinar de la filosofía y la historia de las ideas. Ambos autores tuvieron diferencias de lecturas sobre la historia del pensamiento argentino, que se evidencian en las interpretaciones aplicadas a estos tres letrados, que deben ser contextualizadas.
