The approach goes to interdisciplinary and interdiscursive readings prioritizing a vision of art as acts of communication. A first moment is dedicated to establishing some definitions and to recognizing linguistic aspects that relate textiles to literature. Next, the presence of textile art in literature and then literature in textile art is analyzed. Finally, communication theory is used to recognize or discard the proximity and loans between the two aesthetic phenomena. Este artículo indaga las posibilidades de investigación de los comparatistas que desean vincular fenómenos literarios con el arte textil. El abordaje acude a lecturas interdisciplinarias e interdiscursivas priorizando una visión del arte como actos de comunicación. Un primer momento está dedicado a establecer algunas definiciones y a reconocer aspectos lingüísticos que relacionan lo textil con la literatura. A continuación, se analiza la presencia del arte textil en la literatura y luego, de la literatura en el arte textil. Finalmente se recurre a la teoría de la comunicación para reconocer o descartar las cercanías y los préstamos entre los dos fenómenos estéticos.
