Pageaux, from the perspective of French Imagology, establishes with Even Zohar’s polysytem theory and Bertrand Westphal’s geocriticism. This article, solidly supported by textual examples and bibliography, offers carefully detailed proposals for comparative research, which can also shed light on the process of literary creation. In this context, imagery is defined as a store of a symbolic, dynamic, and mediating elements that, with the support of aesthetic principles, can give form and meaning to the world in which humans live. |
