Sumario:In this article I critically review the term speciesism. I propose that it is part of an ideological constellation that moves towards moral choice problems that have to do with the structural, systemic reproduction of the life of human beings. What really happens is that both the miserable conditions in which animals are found in the food industry and the environmental catastrophe are the result of the current social form, that is, of the way in which man produces and reproduces his material life, which is subject to the logic of exchange value.
