I propose that it is part of an ideological constellation that moves towards moral choice problems that have to do with the structural, systemic reproduction of the life of human beings. What really happens is that both the miserable conditions in which animals are found in the food industry and the environmental catastrophe are the result of the current social form, that is, of the way in which man produces and reproduces his material life, which is subject to the logic of exchange value. En este artículo reviso críticamente el término especismo. Planteo que forma parte de una constelación ideológica que desplaza hacia la elección moral problemas que tienen que ver con la reproducción estructural, sistémica, de la vida de los seres humanos. Lo que en verdad sucede es que tanto las miserables condiciones en las que se encuentran los animales en la industria de la alimentación como la catástrofe ambiental son resultado de la forma social vigente, es decir, de la manera en la que el hombre produce y reproduce su vida material, la cual se encuentra supeditada a la lógica del valor de cambio.
